Located north of University Boulevard on the Iowa State University campus is a small arch that crosses a walkway connecting the "Freddy Court" apartments to campus.
Originally built as an arch to allow livestock to pass through, it has since been re-purposed as a walkway connecting campus.
Otherwise rather common, this small arch has stood the test of time and has become a landmark of sorts on the ISU campus.
The bridge was built in 1900 for a double tracking project which would be completed the same year.
The author has ranked this bridge as being locally significant, due to the large number of stone arches in the area.
Fortunately, this bridge remains in near perfect condition. The photo above is an overview.
The structure can be accessed from many different sidewalks in the area.
